50th Anniversary of 2001: A Space Odyssey

A six-color screen-printed poster celebrating the 50th anniversary of Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey, made for its return to theaters in May 2018. HAL’s eye fills the sheet, with Bowman drifting across it and the monolith doorway at the bottom. The type is Gill Sans, a tip of the hat to the face actually used in the film, which people often confuse with Futura, another Kubrick favorite.
