Graphic Design - Facebook AI Design System
This project came out of a pile of related creative requests from Facebook’s fast-growing AI and machine learning teams, all of them asking for one thing: a brighter, shared system to put their work under.
The year before, the team had worked with a rad creative agency on a baseplate brand system. I took the patterns from that work and paired them with a brighter gradient palette, which gave us a strong set of slide backgrounds and event and group cover photos.
The sub-teams needed identities of their own, so I built an icon system on the almighty hexagon.
A light scrub of our internal wiki showed the system in use.
